The other day I was completely starved and it was about four o' clock, which is neither lunch nor dinner. So, I decided to whip up a fresh batch of bruschetta for myself. It was really easy to make which I always love, and way healthier than chips or ramen noodles. Here's what I did: first, I diced up some very fresh tomatoes and mixed them with a little olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and basil(from a plant I have in my kitchen, so delish and straight from the vine!!). Then, I toasted a couple pieces of baguette in the oven with a quick dab of olive oil to crisp it. After the bread was toasted I just put the tomato mixture on top and had myself a delicious 15-minute snack!

A Spot of Tea
Tonight I was in the mood for a bit of tea and a good read. As everybody knows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out in just under three weeks and tickets are already being sold! I am so excited about the movie it has been years in the making. I think I have been reading Harry Potter since about sixth grade and I am now in college. I simply can not wait! Oh, also, I went to Disneyland about a week ago and realized I was blocked out once we arrived, so my friend Aly and I did a bit of shopping downtown. I found what I had been desperately wanting for a while now, my Alice in Wonderland teapot. I received the teacup from my older brother for Christmas and now I have both and am enthralled:) Even though in my household I am the more avid tea drinker my family is thoroughly aware of my near obsession with it and I hope by now so are you.

Breakfast Delight!
I always try to have a nice fulfilling breakfast to keep me going throughout the day and the other day I decided to make something special. It is really simple, its a plain, no sugar or anything added to it yogurt, very healthy! Then I added some fresh blueberries from Trader Joe's as well as the strawberries. I love to add the oats on top for a little crunch and sweetness. Finals are finally here and they will probably be the death of me, BUT hopefully not since summer is so close I can taste it! I will be constantly be at the beach with my best friend/sister and the one of three of my followers, I am lame! Ok goodbye I will try to post again before next century:)

Easter Cake
I love celebrating Easter! It is such a happy and fun day. I am as usual, terribly tired because I have worked non-stop all week. I can not wait until the day I can sleep in, relax, and catch up on all my shows! Last night, my mom, brother and his girlfriend dipped eggs and had dinner. My mom and I made this carrot-shaped cake we had seen in a magazine and it took a lot of time and patience and neither of the two I posess. I have been reading this book lately called, The Power of Pause and it discusses taking time away from our busy lives to relax and marvel at the little things in life and I have been doing that. Being with my family today was really nice just watching hockey and going to the park with my young cousins. I will be posting again soon, until then goodbye!

Delicious and Easy Dinner.
A couple days ago, I made a delicous gnocchi with meatballs and peas. It was simple since I had the packaged gnocchi from an amazing store called, World Market. I added some Trader Joe's meatballs and some peas, then I made a heavy cream based sauce that thickened to a happy consistency. I am going to try a deep-dish pizza from scratch next week when I have time! I am currently posting at 1am but I have decided that I don't need sleep and there aren't enough hours in the day! Let's hope I don't crash halfway through school tomorrow!

BabyNames

-Rhumy
-Ava
-Delilah
-Pnina
-Audi
-Audi
-I realize that making this list is a little crazy since i am not having a child right now and won't be for a while but I love these names, they are so sweet and different, and I like being unique and not following the normal thing to do, or what anybody would expect. I have been thinking about having lots of kids lately, it sounds so amazing to have tons of little ones around. It is almost Valentine's Day and I find that obnoxious, not because I am bitter that I am single, but because it is such a waste of a holiday. I am going to bed since it is the superbowl tomorrow, and I am having my loved ones' over, let's go Steelers!

Crepes
Today I didn't have to work until 11, so I decided I should make breakfast for my family. I picked this crepe mix up from work a while ago and haven't had time to make them until today. I decided to put chocolate chips and bananas inside the crepe, and on top, (I went crazy) and added powdered sugar, whipped cream, syrup and heath bar chips on them. It was absolutely delicious and I could have had thirty. This meal was a success!

Since I have been constantly watching Sex and the City, fashion has been on my mind. While I can't quite remember where I found these two photos I really enjoy them and find the art and beauty in each one. The outfits are so chic and exciting I needed to post them. This is my second consecutive day posting which is odd, but hopefully can occur more often, I love to post i am just so busy running around there doesn't seem to be time. Well, it looks like Tuesday is starting to turn my week around. And now, I have plans for Saturday with a dear friend, so I have inspiration to make it through the first week back at school!

Christmas Present.
I recently bought these shoes, and they have been such a great purchase. I love how they are nude/light light pink and can go with almost everything in my wardrobe. Altough they look like ankle breakers they are very comfortable. They were a slight splurge since I was shopping for other people when I bought them but, c'est la vie:)

My wedding.....
I have always wanted to get married and been super excited about it. I have all of the details pretty much laid out, I know what I want to feel like, what I want to look like, and where I want to be married. The only thing I don't have figured out, (which some may argue is the most important thing) is who I am going to marry. I have always loved Vera Wang's designs. She makes such beautiful gowns that it was hard for me to find a perfect one. But the Dorothy design sparked my interest, I think it was the sparkles and the fluffiness of it all that appealed to me so much. I absolutely love dresses, they seem to wreak of girlyness in every possible way. Another thing I have to note on is the blue Christian Louboutin platforms. I think they are amazing for a wedding because they are blue, and you need something blue so its perfect! I think my wedding will have to be out of a fairytale because thats just the kind of girl I am. I love to have everything perfect and beautiful and my wedding will be no different. I have always been traditional in a sense because I definitely want to get married in a church and not some random place that quite frankly has no meaning to me. I absolutely adore traveling and think that my destination wedding just has to occur in Spain. Obviously, it is a far-fetched dream since my whole family would have to travel all the way across the country to see me get married, but hey, a girl's gotta dream. Well I must go back to my studying, finals have finally gotten the best of me. Wish me luck!

Gingerbread House
I find making gingerbread houses extremely therapeutic. My life is very hectic going from work to school and I love to cook and make treats to relax. My dream job would be making cakes for weddings and other fun celebrations, but quite frankly, I don't really have a knack for artsy things, well not a good enough talent that somebody might actually purchase anything I have made. So, for the gingerbread house I sort of took the easy way out and bought a pre-assembled one, but I did have to assemble the very interesting looking tree. My younger brother refused to help me which almost crushed my Christmas spirit, but, my mom saved the day and helped me make this look as pretty as possible. The house is planted on my table as a centerpiece which will look great all month! I am getting more and more ready for Christmas by the day. I need to go shopping for half of my list still which worries me since I am constantly busy. Wish me luck!

Happy Days.
Today I went to the South Coast Plaza with my amazing brother to buy a present for his girlfriend. I can not say what it is until Christmas, but I can not wait for him to give it to her. After we got home the weather was so rainy and whatnot I decided we should take a few pictures to show how winter is finally among us in Lakewood, CA. The weather was treacherous so my rainboots were necessary! I had a great day but was glad to take off my boots and relax in front of the fire.

For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute...
There is nothing better than sitting in front of the fireplace working on a last minute paper:) I love the winter, when I get to be bundled up in a warm blanket and drinking hot tea! I should definitely work on the procrastinating, but since I never will, to hell with it!

Happy Turkey Day!
Ahh Thanksgiving. I think that Thanksgiving is such a bittersweet holiday. Sweet, because it is the start of the holiday season, the bad part is, that while playing touch football with my family all I wanted to do was hibernate until New Year's:) I ate to my heart's content and enjoyed every minute of it(while wearing my stretchy black jeans) with my family and other loved ones. Up above, I have a few pictures of the set-up and the beautiful turkey which was so well-made by my lovely Aunt Serena. One of me and my Grandma. The other picture is of my brother Tanner in the middle, and my cousins Brenna and Will. Below, is a picture of the intense huddle of the team I was playing against. They made many amazing plays, but unfortunately our team won by very many(I am too humble to note how many). This year I realized how everybody is getting so much bigger, time is flying, and I just want to bathe in the glory of my youth while I can. I am truly thankful for my friends and family.

Bottega Louie
Oh my gosh! I had such an amazing time the other night at Bottega Louie. I had never been there and neither had my best friend Molly. When we arrived, we realized how busy and active the place was. The whole restaurant and market was crowded with people and the line to talk with the hostess was unfathomable. But, since we made the trip to LA we decided we would give it a shot. As it was Saturday night, the hour long wait was doable, but we decided to sit in the bar. Our server was very attractive which added to the good time. It seemed to us that everybody that worked there had the criteria of being ridiculously good looking. When it came time to order we set our sights on dessert since we all had already eaten and were mostly there for macarons. We were really excited to try them. After ordering and eating our creme brulee and macarons we decided to hit the road. The picture of the three of us was taken by the valet, who was a real funny character. After, we decided we must see Harry Potter. I was seriously so excited to see it and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I can't wait to go back to Bottega Louie one day, maybe on a date, here's hoping!

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

After a long week at work I am looking forward to a couple of things on Saturday. One thing, is that a couple of my dearest friends and I are planning on going to Bottega Louie in La to have an amazing time eating and chatting it up. We are hoping to enjoy some lovely Macarons for dessert. Then, we are planning on venturing toward the theater by our house to view Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1. I have been waiting for this moment since I finished watching The Half-Blood Prince on opening night, needless to say I am so excited. One of my friends accompanying me is also a blogger and is the reason I started one. So, you can conclude we will be taking as many photos as possible!
The Happiest Place on Earth..
On Sunday, I went to disneyland with my two brothers and my mom. We wanted to go for a little bit in the morning to go on a few rides and get lunch on the way home. I decided almost instantly that the teacups would be a fun addition to the blog. My younger brother and I spun around until we were sick and had the best time on the ride. Luckily enough, I got a picture with Alice and the Mad Hatter. They were walking around Main Street. Such a fun and interesting day. Thanks to my mom and older brother these lovely pictures were taken. It was such a warm and happy day.
